With this work I wanted to represent a parallel universe, something that is and isn’t there, surrounding us in everyday life. Something fading away, dissapearing or reminding us about the past or the present. This video captures the architecture of several locations in Liepaja, Latvia. And the use of point cloud technology produces a ghost-like, fade effect, that helps to illustrate the idea.

 This video was created using 360° point cloud laser scanning technologies. Scans of locations were made with Leica BLK 360° scanner. The artwork was created within the framework of New Media art festival “iWeek”, 2018. As part of 360-degree point cloud laser scanning workshop “Ghostology IV Synod of Cloud”, led by Zilvinas Lilas.
