This sound installation represents the communication between me and my family while studying in another city. The aim of this work is to enable the listener to feel and relate to the heartache of separation while listening to my family’s conversations. In each telephone you can hear only one side of the conversation, either my voice or my families. By distancing the telephones apart, so that there’s no way to listen to both of them at the same time, I wanted to physically represent the distance between me and my family. Previously exhibited at Liepaja Museum 14.12.2018 – 06.01.2019.
